To help you think about the future and see how smaller goals can fit into a larger goal, it’s good to have different time-bound goals from the immediate to the longer term.
- Immediate goals are things you can implement within a week or two.
- Short-term goals can be achieved within three months.
- Medium-term goals can be achieved within a year.
- Long term goals take longer than a year.
Create some immediate, short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals. (Remember to make them specific, objectively measurable, attainable, time bound with a realistic plan to achieve them.) A simple example of a short-term goal might be: save $100 each month for the next 3 months.
